Administrative duties include speaking at
special engagements and educational series to emphasize audience participation. Organized
and conducted first and second statewide tours. Appointed to consultative committee for
new concert hall. Appointed to fundraising committee for the College of Fine Arts.
Fundraising included special radio and
television interviews focusing on upcoming concerts and long-term goals of the orchestra.
Return engagements with the orchestra to major city centers, attracting audiences with a
large financial base, involving them in orchestra growth and support. Extensively involved
in private fundraising from arts patrons, resulting in increased visibility and
acknowledgment from the local and statewide community.
Also initiated a fundraising drive for opera
productions on campus, conducting a Gala Benefit concert of opera arias with orchestra.
